Follow these steps to ensure your documentation is complete and usable:

  1. Record the date and location of the incident.
  2. Photograph everything before moving or repairing anything.
  3. Store digital copies in multiple locations (cloud + USB drive).
  4. Collect statements from witnesses or neighbors.
  5. Keep receipts for temporary repairs or emergency expenses.
